Panorama and Science Centre


Kurukshetra Panorama and Science centre is an excellent world class Panorama depicting the Mahabharata war with scientific explanations justifying every episode in the war. There are also several scientific exhibits which kindle in the visitor, a curiosity for science.

Bhadrakali Temple - Kurukshetra

This temple dedicated to Bhadrakali is considered to be one of the fifty one Shakti pithas of India. As per Hindu Mythology, the right ankle of Sati fell here in the well; at present, a marble ankle has been shown here. According to the local legend, Pandavas along with lord Krishna worshipped Maa Durga to get a boon of victory in Mahabharata battle. After being conquered, they again came to worship the goddess and offer their best horses in her service. Since the day, the devotees offer terracotta and metal horses to the deity after having fulfilled their wishes.

Sheikh Chilli Ka Maqbara-Kurukshetra

Sheikh Chilli Ka Maqbara is a beautiful and well maintained Mughal monument tucked in one corner of the city. Sufi Saint  Abd ur Rahim popularly called Sheikh Chilli was the spiritual guru of Dara Shikh, Aurangzeb's brother. Inside the complex is a mosque called Pather Masjid that was built in red sandstone. On the north side of the complex is a Mughal Garden which is now known as Harshvardhan Park

Brahma Sarovar - Kurukshetra
